My 6 month old A/C adapter/charger for my laptop just stopped working, why? Is there a reason this might have happened since I know intend on buying a new one and don't want it to happen again. Is there some way I can check the one I have out to see if I can get it to work again. Thanks.

If it's only 6 months old should still be under warranty. Contact supplier for a replacement.
As to WHY it died, anyones guess.

Its all glued up in a black abyss. There is no fixing it. Electronics goes out when its new, overheated, or old. or gets a power surge like lightning.. Its not unusual you have this problem, thats why they have warranties...
