i mean like when YOU were in your 20's or 60's, not 1920/1960.

I thought you were asking what was our personal best decade. Mine was my 30's. Great times.

Aren't the Zen Masters always using the phrase, " All you have is Now?" Each era has had a down side, as well as a good side. We have more opportunities today to make a positive impact on the world because of our technology , then we did in the 20's, but we could also cause more global havoc if we don't use resources more wisely.

the best era of life is the one in which you are alive. that is by far the most useful, and is also the best time for you to make a difference in this life,,,

forget about the past, and what was good,, instead use what you have now to make this 'decade' the best you can...

then hopefully you will help to set a good example for those to follow in future.

Cease the day!

in no decade were people happier than in any other. People who say now we are happier and cool becuase of tecnology and progress are full of crap. People have always said that. Man has a tremendous ability to be equality uncontent and greedy, or equally happy and genourus, no matter when or where they are. People become content or not content with their surroundings, no matter what those surroundings are, all through history. This is because this is what they grew up with, and this is what they are used to.

The 70s - freedom for all!

And also the 20s - the sort of eighteen century rigidness was coming off - cool period. Al Capone, speakeasies and all. Sweet.

I feel the 80's were. Just seemed like I really had alot of fun then. Of course I was just a pre-teen/teen and naive of all the things adults worry about. I'm sure most people feel that way about the era they grew up in as well.
