Is it possible to do it using only clip-ons and magnets, or do I really need to bite the bullet and go see the lady with the scary earring shooter.

Suck it up, and get them pierced. It only hurts for a minute.
Follow all instructions to the letter - clean as directed twice a day, twirl in holes twice a day, and don't take them out for any reason until AT LEAST six weeks after!
20 - 30 pairs is nothing - I have several boxes which hold 24 pairs!
Lots of gold or silver - whichever you prefer - in hoops, studs, shells, bobs, leaves, shrimps, etc.
Gemstones - pearls, diamonds, rubies, topaz, emeralds, sapphires, amethysts
Flowers in all the colors
Animals/fish/bugs [ for when I volunteer in nursery ]
Holidays
No matter how fat you get, your earrings always fit!

Its time to get your ears done. Clip ons are so 2nd grade. Mine have been pierced since i was 8 months old. Then i got an upper one. They are so so so worth it. Just hold someones hand. You can do it. take a deep breath and go for it

i think only clip ons/magnets would be kinda hard.
i say go for the piercing.
it doesnt even hurt. its just a light pinch.

the peircings totally dont hurt, i didnt even realize they had done mine. however i dont understand what would be hard about having alot of clipons or sumthin..
