Never thought they were, but looked:


Magnolia, Southern Magnolia grandiflora Toxicity Category 4 - plants are generally considered non-toxic to humans.

--but I don't think I'd eat one.

There are many sites about the wood containing toxic alkaloids. Not sure how it would affect dogs. Probably best to fetch a diff stick.
But it is on the safe list for bird cages.

no. not if you dont eat them. however, when in bloom they sure do stink.
