Chamomile tea. And a good friend to listen to me. It helps to know I'm not alone. But the best was learning the God says: come to me all who are heavy and under a heavy load and I will give you rest for your souls. More times than I can count I've been able to calm down an truly let go of what I was worrying about when I could trust God to hold it for me, and know that God loves me and cares more about what I was worrying over than I do. There's a lot of lifestyle things you can go to help. Read up on Ayurvedic diet (vata pacifying: you can read about this on line) and stick to a healthy routine (go to bed early, avoid over stimulation).
You could be magnesium deficient, as most of us are. Taking Calm (supplement) or soaking in magnesium oil could help. Note that taking mag in a hard pill form not so easy to digest for some so I don't recommend that route.

try to think positive thoughts......block out the worrying ones.....and yes...herbal teas....try chamomile and passionflower teas...both are calming...I brew them up together and have with a little honey to sweeten.. at least 3 cups per day....buy therapeutic strength ones from a health shop.....and excercise.....walking is great....
