Her name has always been Elizabeth but her family used to call her Lillibet as an affectionate pet name.Her surname however was the same as it is now (Windsor).

SOME monarchs DO adopt another name rather than their christianed name .. BUT this isn't the case with Queen Elizabeth.

She was born to be a princess incidently and not the queen, This only came about because her uncle abdicated his thrown to his Brother ( the queen's father)
