A bunch of pathetic, whiny, neurotic, make-up wearing, suicidal, skinny-pantsed losers are screaming lyrics that are only 'deep' to a fifteen year old girl and you want to know what the appeal is? LyK hOw Do YoU nOt KnOw AlReAdY?!??1???!

screamo is a genre of music, that has the vocalist expressing his or her emotions through screaming.
people listen to screamo, because they can relate to whatever the song is about, and sometimes scream along with it.

its a mix between hardcore and straight-up rock, screaming vocals with a lighter beat. and its also all about personal preference, i see alot of "its horrible music" on here, but that is all their opinion, i know alot of people who like screamo. also there is the stereotype that goes with it that everyone who listens to it is "that kid' who is gonna go postal one day, and that i can tell you is not true

I'd guess its something related to a release of aggression/frustration and they havent found out yet how much fun Death Metal songs are, so they whine instead of listen to Slayer or Otep.

i'm actually very happy with my life..so it has nothing to do with being mad/sad at the world...
i would say i'm very energetic..and it just complements my personality.
