Do you think Drew Carey will be great as the new host of the Price is Right? Do you think Bob Barker will always be the best host of the show? Next week, Drew Carey takes over as host of the Price is Right. Bob Barker has hosted the game show for 35 years. He retired back in June to devote his time to animal rights. I'm going to miss Bob. He was the man. Will the Barker's Beauties be renamed Carey's Beauties or will the name stay the same. I hope nothing changes when Drew Carey takes over. He already has one hit game show called the Power of 10. A 19-year-old college student won $1 million on the first show. It has scored huge ratings since its debut. Drew will do double duty hosting two game shows. How do you feel about this?

Bob Barker is the quintessential host for that show. No one will ever replace him. Drew Carey is funny, but the show will either replace him in a few months or years, or the show will leave the air. This is not Drew Carey's real place in show business. But as long as he's on there, the Barker's Beauties will probably not be called Carey's Beauties, but more likely Carey's Cuties.

Bob Barker is an institution, and it's going to take a some getting used to with having a new host- Drew Carey or anyone else.

I think they had to go with someone like Carey- someone SO COMPLETELY different from Bob as to avoid any comparisons.

I'll be interested to see how Drew does... could be kinda cool!

I'm a HUGE fan of Drew and The Price is Right, but MHO is that Bob Barker MADE the Price Is Right, and it seems that more people go on, or to the show, just to see Bob in person. I think the show should have retired with Bob. It's his show and always will be his show! Everyone who watches it has grown up with Bob. It just won't be the same

I wouldn't doubt the show goes off air a year after Drew takes over. I wish Drew the best of luck with it, but just don't think it's going to work, with anyone, other than Bob!

I also do think that Bob should have retired a few years ago. He seems very short with the guests, and tends to "push" them off when they hug him and cuts them off when they talk. He's been doing it for 35 years, and I'm sure just got sick of the same ol stuff from everyone.
(Tho he was impressed by the guy that leagaly changed his middle name to Plinko!)

Ok, I have loved the show since I was young. Noone can replace BARKER. Carey is way better then the suggested media crap like ROSIE. I think Carey will do his best. I do feel as a watcher for sooooooooooooo many years. They should of gotten an unknown. Just my opinion. Someone older. Noone will ever be as good as Barker. I think CBS tho did a terrible job on the selection. They should of gotten someone older. I guess, change is not something most like when they get used to something for sooooo long. Drew has big shoes to fill, I hope he does just that. I think he realizes that as well. It won't be BOB anymore. We will all have to get over that. I still say tho, CBS still should of picked an unknown and an older person. Just my thoughts.

Drew will work for the show IMO. Although every since I was a child and Bob Barker hosted the show til I turned into an adult, change has to come sooner or later. Just because change happens doesn't mean a franchise can't continue. Like someone said b4 me, Leno took over Carson's spot and the show continues to do well.

Ok here is my spin;
Drew Carey will do a different than,that which we are used to of hosting the Price Is Right. He will do good I feel. As a fan of PIR over the years, I will miss good ole' Bob. I question how Drew will fit the filmings of PIR since it has always taped LA CA, and the Power of `10~ has been being filmed in New York. As for the Beauties maybe they will become
"Carey's Cuties". Or would that be politically incorrect in these days???

I will definitely miss Bob Barker. I have watched him do the show since I was a little girl (I am now 38). I know some people say the show will bust now that he is gone but the same people said that about things when Johnny Carson retired. People miss Johnny but things still went on and were successful. I predict the same for "The Price is Right".

I think Drew Carey will do a fine job. He'll make the show feel fresh. I don't care if he makes minor changes. It's inevitable. Bob Barker did his own thing, now Drew Carey will do his.

I haven't Seen Drew do his thing yet on the Price is Right so My Pick is Definitely Bob Barker Because we all know what he's made of.
