Black fin sharks (Columbian sharks) can only be kept in freshwater tanks as juveniles, and should really be in a brackish tank (as juveniles) and should have full saltwater as adults. Beyond that, they will almost certainly try and eat the shrimp. and will eat any fish that they are able to fit in their mouths.

Or a black shark? Like this?

The black shark is a rather aggressive and will definitely not work.
The black fin shark isn't particularly aggressive but gets a good 8-12 inches, so the shrimpys will be lunch very soon and black tetras may or may not be eaten at some point in the future (depending on size of the tetra and the shark).

Black fin sharks aka Columbian sharks will need a brackish set up as they get older. They also grow quite large, and will need a large tank, I'd say minimum of 75 gallons. It would most likely eventually eat the tetras or smaller fish as it gets older, and the shrimp would be lunch in no time.

I wouldn't put it past a black finned shark to try eating your fish. Don't bother putting "small"- they grow. I had a red-tailed black shark and for a while it was quite peaceful with the other fish. However, later on it killed most of my neons before dying mysteriously. Just be very careful when buying a shark.

I wouldn't recommend keeping these two together as one is cold water and one is tropical and anyhow redtail/black fin sharks will not consume a fish in one but may harass it and stress it to death. Kam x
