Should said politicians not be shunned and the ones who bring integrity and good character be paraded and applauded?

What causes this polar effect?

Is it due to the media only showing what "they" think Americans should see?

Obviously, I am included, but should the focus be shifted on the clean/legit/law abiding ones that actually DO good?

Does the fascination stem from law abiding, moral, sound and reasonable people? Is this what causes the polarization?

Fascinated? No.
Disappointed, disgusted, dumbfounded, yes.

There are a few good politicians, willing to compromise for the good of our country, but unfortunately good politicians do not sell newspapers. Judging what the public wants to see, by observing the current TV programs and movies, the public today is more interested in the "bad and the ugly."

Fed lies as truths for long enough and some people begin to believe them. Unfortunate it isn't just a corrupt government but also mainstream media top 4 news channels seem bias too. There seems to be so many great stories we read on yahoo that get no attention on the news.

Edit: I read wrong...yes there is a facination with corrupt politicians and i know sometimes I feel happy thinking I knew it but then think they may just be distracting us with something else.

Americans are fascinated with corrupt and dirty anything, from Michael Vick to "Girls Gone Wild" to "Did the CIA kill JFK?" (which I can't believe gets brought up once a day).

Hey, if you can find one with good character and integrity I'll applaud him 'til he's deaf and parade him around on my shoulders 'til the cows come home.
