Plastic Containers (milk, soap, juice, fresh pasta, water, etc.)
Grocery sacks, produce bags, and other packaging
Glass, Steel, Aluminum Cans and Foil
Aseptic Packaging (Drink boxes, soy-milk containers)
Paper
Waxed cartons (Milk, juice)
Rechargeable Batteries (other than car batteries)
Most printer cartridges are easily recycled

...maybe even tabs from aluminum cans...???
i'm not sure how much of that is helpful, but it would be pretty interesting. :) have fun!

Jazz, as you can see from the list of things made by those who answered before me, you just need to collect things that will work in creating your sculpture. The act of using any material in your sculpture automatically makes it a recycled material, and thus recyclable.

With all the water bottles around, how about putting one together with empty plastic bottles with water color to complement, like an ice sculpture. Use a glue gun, and recylcle this sculpture into an awareness capaign of water bottles, also show how a person can reuse their water bottles by just washing and filling again.

it is possible to recycle about all metals.
If you are decent at welding you can weld/grind a dolphin which is as good as if you did wax/clay modeling.

Most plastics nowadays can be recycled, look up which one recycling centers accept.

All plant substances (including wood) can get recycled as compost eventually.

Glass can get recycled.
