but two things, i dont have an account with wells fargo so why would i have to unlock my account; and second it sends me to an unprotected site that looks similar to the wells fargo website but it is not the same. The wellsfargo.com site is secured and approved by mcafee siteadvisor. I'm think this site might be some kind of scam to get peoples accounts. the link that the email send me to, to unlock my account is http://wellsfargo.2pay.nl/?www.billboardsforlife.org/gallery/data/wellsfargo/www.WellsFargo.com/EhAnBbAh6Rw_RLxVfb1IQtJ8fDiQhg6eHkk9vV3LaBf5rg0ibTGN4xahMPAEc3Njttf3_ypna68UmYcJ6VPstiRtWCmfxfyhA6WmTzXmx5hxFbzsEdrV3EBqnQHQ8-ljvQ/wellsfargo/
which pretty much is this one:
http://wellsfargo.2pay.nl/
Just seems really strange to have a wellsfargo sight with 2pay.nl as the end of url. any1 else get this, is this legit? or if not how can this be reported for further investigation.

The web site is propagated from the Netherlands. Just a SCAM. Financial institutions use 128 bit encrytion so the url would always have a transfer protocal of HTTPS indicating a secure connection.

Its spam and its also what is commonly called a phishing site. We get that all the time from different banks where we know we don't have an account. Just ignore, delete or click on your Spam button in your email program.

As everyone here tells you, DO NOT send a reply to that e-mail. Yahoo! would NEVER send you such a request. You could just delete the message, block the address by going to Options in you e-mail page or report it as spam (though if you ask me, Yahoo! is not that brilliant against spamming). Another advice is to create your sign-in seal: when you access the "sign in page" in a browser on your computer, it suggests you to create a sign in seal. This helps you avoid the fake pages that look like the original Yahoo! one and protects you against sending your ID and password to anonnimous people.

This is called plishing
Many people recieve these bogus e-mails in an attempt to get you to give your personal Information.
Never ever ever respond to or click on these links.
If you want to access there site you type it in. Don't use a link from someone you don't know. Many will appear to be legit but they are NOT/

This is a well known scam to "mine" for your personal information.

Your bank will only contact you via mail or telephone. NEVER e-mail!
