You should be using a backup form of birth control 1. Because you are on antibiotics and 2. Because it's only your first month on the pill. Your doctor should have explained this to you. Yes, it is possible you will get pregnant. BE MORE CAREFUL!

Well if you are on antibiotics that can lower the efficiency of the pill-so you should use alternate forms of birth control during that time.Actually after a birth, miscarraige, abortion etc..a woman is actually more fertile than any other time-because your hormones are going through so many fluctuations. There is a chance you could have gotten pregnant again. If you have had unprotected sex within the last 3 days,it's not too late to get planB.

hi, i have complete sympathy for you. i am in the same boat. i had a medical abortion 4 weeks ago and am on the pill. i definitely feel pregnant again after having sex using the pullout method 2 weeks after the Ab. the only difference is i am 30 and married. we do not want kids, and i would never consider putting a child up for adoption. do you know how many children NEVER get adopted? i am sorry that most of the people replying to your post are so very rude and unhelpful. they should look at their own lives and realize they are not perfect...

Having unprotected sex anytime can get you pregnant (I thought you learned that the first time!?) Of course it's likely that you can become pregnant. An abortion discontinued one pregnancy- It's not going to stop any more. You need to either get on a reliable birth control (and stay on it) or abstain (STOP HAVING) sex. Abortions don't count as birth control, either. If you're going to act like an adult by having sex, you need to be a responsible one.

Pregnancy is not likely if you use the pill the way you are supposed to.
If you go off of it, and have unprotected sex, you are asking for trouble again. Did you not learn the lesson the first time? Or are you going to keep having abortions because you can't be smart about birth control?

I hope that you are not, but I can't say I have too much compassion for you. You are obviously not learning from your mistakes. Getting pregnant and aborting once is a mistake, the second time you have unprotected sex after that is just purely stupid. Please, if you can't use condoms then keep yourself out of situations where you may have sex for a while

It's very easy. It all depends on your body. Obviously you don't want any children right now. So I suggest you be a little more responsible when it comes to unprotected sex. Abortion is not a form of birth control and continued abortions can really adversly affect your body.

It's as easy as having sex. Your cycle reacts to an abortion as if you're having a period, so it gears up to release another egg as it would had you had a period.
Unprotected sex is a bad idea after an abortion because your uterus is still partially open. You could get an infection that could spread to your uterus and wreak havoc on your system. Take a break and let your body heal.

I'd like to think that if it came down to having and abortion, that the person would be a lot more careful, especially so soon after. I'd go with the morning after pill.
