If you know very little about how to really protect your computer and especially if you feel all you need is an Antivirus and Antifspyware please protect yourself and read this short article from Microsoft about security:

These software companies are making a ton of money off of folks selling their products and they don't even tell you the basics. Everyday there are posts on Yahoo! Answers about computers running slow and infected files.

nice article...well, i guess that why people need to lean more about computers to be come more cmputer literate to avoid such mistakes :)

folks before you do attempts to throw your $$$ or money of your parents: check reviews at computer magz, and web sitesdo your homework before jumping into a bandwagon.

Personal opinion.
HOGWASH
If this a fact this is just another of microsofts screw ups.
Most users own a personal computer as I said personal and in so doing there is nothing ever said or mentioned on setting up your computer as Administrator. I would venture to say 99% of all users do this unaware of this article.
There is No reason for this stupidity.
There is No doubt that we are being fleeced for virus protection.
Virus Protection should be part of the Operating System.
Microsoft is only the largest and most widely used operating system in the world, that includes the best and brightest programmers in the world. And you are telling me they can't put a plug in it.
