A 10 gallon tank is not an adequate home for Angelfish. Angels get about 6 inches long, and very tall. The minimum tank for Angelfish is 29 gallons. If you keep it in a 10 gallon, you will be killing it. Get rid of the Angel and get a nice school of Tetras, Rasboras, or Barbs. Email me with updates.

For your Angle fish, you could try some protractor fish and maybe some compass fish

Your tank is too small for angel fish. Please don't listen to the people who tell you to get neon tetras with your angel fish. Tetras are the natural diet of angel fish in the wild! Although many people don't even realize it, angels are cichlids and are semi-aggressive. You can only keep them with other peaceful cichlids that aren't fin nippers or your angels will terrorize the other fish. At the moment however, you can't keep anything with anything because you don't have a big enough tank. Unless you ditch the angel plan and keep guppies or a betta instead. A 10 gallon tank would be perfect for a few pretty male guppies and a few cory cats, or a pretty male betta and some cories.

angelfish dont belong in a 10 gallon.

A standard ten gallon is about 12 inches high or so.... A full grown angel fish will be about 9-12 inches long and 12-15 inches high...

So you will stunt it. The fishes will never develop and the finnage will look horrible and bent.

You really cant look to get an angelfish unless you have a 29 gallon tank.

Ok, if you want angelfish and some other fish, then get a bigger tank, like a 30 gallon or bigger. I would suggest rams with the angels they look awesome and they get along. blue rams are cool.

bettachris, i have never seen a angelfish that was 10 inches long let alone 12 inches long, i've seen 10 inches tall( i have one that tall she is an amazing female)but never that long. 5-6 inches at the most. just thought i would point it out.

Your tank is to small and Silver sharks and Rainbow sharks are good, you should get a bigger sized tank
