okay ill try not to give you any bs answers.. MS does allow you to downgrade your OS from VISTA to windows XP prem using the same product key.. at leats that is what they list in the product support that they have released two months ago but I am not pretty sure about the VIsta premium to vista home editions. True they are of the same platform but they have some internal querks that they dont share.. Just to be sure ask the MS IT about that.. if you are from the US then you are lucky coz you can call them up toll free hehehehe. If you wish to install one of your OS to another PC then you can go ahead... you can still update you OS from MS without problems... the thing is if you will be downgrading your OS and still use the same product key is another thing... better ask the GUY from MS about that.. dont you be trying crack programs to give out the product key since VISTA is not that stable yet. I am pretty sure of that last statement... I have had four crashes already in what 6 months?

Each software is specific and the product keys don't mix and match. Each piece of software is licensed and is for download on a single computer.
The only way around this is to purchase the multable license, this will make it legal.

No, you can't. Initial Vista authentication is tied specifically to a computer, so once it's verified by Microsoft, it's stuck with that particular computer.

u can do it.. but its illegal.. besides.. both com from 2 different manufacturer.. so their cd is catering to different com.. say ur desk is Dell and ur lappy is HP.. if u swap, use the orginal respective cd key, ur desk will have HP applications and ur lappy will have Dell applications.. haha.. its something like that..

No you will most likely find your licences are OEM licences so they must remain with the hardware which they were supplied with.
