How many trojan horses are there?

ok im am so confused. how do you tell the difference between the trojans, why are there so many different types of trojans, and why were trojans invented in the first place.

trojans are just one of the forms of viruses, why they were invented, How many of them outhere, between 300,000-700,00- versions, and they are creating every day. so you can imagine
1. first because people who created them were bored,
2.but now they do for money gain . some Antiviruses companies even hire such people, to check their AV programs for vulnerability.

More often than not they are created by geeksters that think it's cute to screw up the works, especially when they have nothing to gain by doing so.

um...we dont know. they keep growing every second and there's some we don't even know exist.. theyre just another form of malware made to spread, steal data, or just damage systems
