there are several types of pressureized tanks that have different gasses or liquids placed into them from different manufacturers.....for the safety of the general public these or some of these gasses become severely dangerous if they are mixed,so to avoid someone getting the wrong mixture and unknowingly producing a deadly mixture of gasses or a toxic chemical,the threads are produced different for that reason. thanks for bringing this to others attention also....youcould be a hero.!!

Flammable gases have left hand threads to prevent someone from accidentally hooking up the wrong equipment to them.

I believe its a safety issue. So you do not put like the wrong hose on. Something like that.

So they can't be filled with anything else.

Or put into something their not supposed to go into.
