Can pregnancy be detected when trying to donate blood and nurse checks the woman blood with the little pinch in the finger, and takes a small blood sample?

not sure if they all do it but they told my friend she was and that she was anemic too when the highschool had a blood drive when i was in highschool. It was a big surprise to her. They said she couldn't donate because she came back pregnant and anemic

No, because they don't do a pregnancy test at blood donation centers.

No, they don't do a pregnancy test. Just a hemoglobin test to be sure that you aren't anemic. I've given blood 3 times and not once have they run a pregnancy test.

Not unless they run an HCG level, which a blood center does not do.

Highly unlikely, simply beacuse pregnancy is not what they're looking for. But I can be wrong.

yes.. they check for iron and all sorts of other things. i was told by them after they tested me
