When I write my signature, is it the same as my autograph? Explain

Technically, they mean the same thing. However, in everyday usage, signature is something you write when you agree on something that is written. It usually have some legal meaning to it. Autograph is something that celebrity writes to add value or to personalize something.

Commonly, autograph can mean signature, but not the other way around.

well sort of. Some celeb's autograph's are just a short spelling of their names because of security reasons
