i don't & i can't stand it when people point it out...
sheeesh we all make mistakes...the outside world is already uptight enough...some people on here have their draws on tOO tight...

Because bad spelling and grammar make Americans look stupid, and we have enough bad karma in the world today without piling something else on. People from other countries are here too, you know.

If there're a lot of spelling mistakes in a persons question it makes it pretty difficult to understand what they're asking.

I can't say that I care, but it is rather disturbing to see barely literate people. Are they really that ignorant or are they just so used to text-speak? It's not too much to expect people to make some effort to write in a comprehensible manner.

i don't care..people get in a hurry to get their thoughts down and don't pay attention to spelling...as long as they get their point across,who cares?

I don't. I just makes peoples awnsers seem more real. Like when a mesage doesn't have any mispellings or short hand than it just seem like your talking to a computer and not another person.

Because it is the right thing to do. If the person asking the question doesn't care enough about how he or she presents him/herself, maybe the question is not worth answering?

i don't care about typos and short form. however, i hate it when people make their own grammar and create new words so to speak.
