I was still asleep because I live in California and was working 3-11. My sister, who lived in New Jersey called me and broke the news that we had three family member who were in the Towers that morning. The next few days were surreal, trying to find out if they were able to find our family members. They found a nephew in the Armory where they had taken the ones that could be identified. They never did find the other two. One was a stock broker with Merril Lynch and the other was a firefighter. Our family has become involved with Peaceful Tomorrows to work on a way of dealing with conflict in a peaceful manner. We'll never give up doing that.

On Cape Coral FL.

For some reason I got up early that day. I almost never do.

I was watching the Today show with my then girlfriend Jackie Bush and they cut saying a "small plane had just crashed in the Wortld Trade Center North Tower.

I watched as the second plane hit and then I did not turn the TV off for at least two days

It was obvious the towers would fall, at least to me. When they did I actually cried and I was a 54 year old man.

So many Brave Men and Women, So few fanatics, So many mistakes and oversights insecurity.

So m uch heartache and pain

God Bless Us All

And may ALLAH damn those who did this

I live in L.A., but on Sept 11, I was in New Orleans at Memorial Hospital (yeah that hospital where allegedly, doctors and nurses put patients to 'sleep' during Katrina). I was there doing a show and tell of an electronic medical records system. Needless to say, nobody showed up. I saw a bunch of doctors huddled around a tv and I saw the trail of smoke coming from one of the towers. As a result of the FAA shutting down air travel, I was locked down in New Orleans for another week.

I had just arrived at work when one of the ladies stood up and announced that the first plane had hit the WTC. I turned my radio on just as the 2nd plane hit. May those 3000 people who died that day RIP.

Well when it happened I was being driven to school and I was unaware of it all. I was in the fifth grade, and when I got to class my teacher was listening to it on the radio. He wouldn't teach class. Being so little I didn't know what the WTC was, and I didn't realize the magnitude of it all until much later.

I was getting ready for work. My mother-in-law called me and said 'they bombed the world trade center" . I turned on the television in time to see the second jet hit the tower. I was totally shocked. I stood there for the next couple hours watching as people fell, as fires started then as the buildings collapsed, knowing there were still hundreds inside. Then the news of the Pentagon and the crash in Pennsylvania... I knew then, we were at war, I just didn't know who with.

I am a truck driver. I was in Raleigh,NC and I had just turned down a load to Manhattan, so that I could get a load towards my home. It had an 8a.m. delivery time about 4 blocks from the towers. I felt bad for whomever took that load. I sat home just staring at the t.v. in disbelief.

I was at home. My husband (at the time) was at work (NAVY). My daughter was watching Cartoons at that moment when my mom called me (from Germany) and tell me to switch it to the News. They first plane had just flown into the tower. I woke up my hubby`s friend Danny (who had just gotten out of the NAVY and went into the Marines after 9/11). We were watching the News in horror all day long. My hubby called and said he wasn`t going to come home that day. It was so damn scary. I cried. Danny cried. I could not stop watching. I still get goosebumps thinking about it..
