Shape it into any type configuration that displaces water such as a boat, bowl, or whatever that has sides and a bottom, or mold the clay around a ball or ping-pong ball. You could also squeeze some packing peanuts into the clay.

I've heard that it floats in mineral oil, but I've never tried it. Fired clay, not moist.
