I will be happy to help you.
Backup all the files you want to save to an external drive, like a flash drive (also known as thumb drive) or USB external drive. Find out the total size of the files you want to save so you would know that capacity of the backup drive size. You may also burn your files to a CD or DVD if your PC can burn them. Now the important part to bring your PC to good shape again. When you turn your PC on, click on CTRL and F11 keyboard keys together. This will bring up the System Restoration window. By following the directions you will be able to restore your PC system to like brand new again, as if you just took your PC out of the box.
Remember, this restoration will make you lose everything you have installed and created. So backup what you want before restoring. Good luck.

well, sounds like you deleted a file you really needed. some programs will be listed as rarely used and you really need them to run your computer/hardware. If I was you I would run a System Recovery. this will restore everything back on your computer that you had when you first baught it, but some programs you installed on your computer may get lost and you will have to re-install them, and any files such as pictures, music, etc.. may get lost. I dont know how a system recovery is done with a dell. You should of received a disc when you baught the computer , pop it in and it will run you through it.

This is probably the only option to go.]

You're going to have to restore to factory settings.

(All of your files and downloads will be erased. The laptop will be just as it was when it left the factory.)

Okay power on the laptop, then when you see the Dell Logo tap F8 3 or 4 times. Then when the menu comes up.

Select ''Repair System.''

Then when it loads up and gives you options, select factory restore, you should be able to handle it from here.
