Nope not a pea pickin minuet of it. Being a forgiven by Christ for my sins is wonderful, but if I could pray a selfish prayer, I would ask God to allow me to turn the hands of the clock back and let me see the fast lane I was on, and how I should let Him have had the wheel.
As I have gotten older I have actually had to learn how to turn my shame of past fast rides over to the Lord as well, but I have regrets (as I'm sure most of us do). I am thankful , so very thankful that when I ran out of gas on the fast lane I was on the I had not a AAA account but a Trinity G account. God The Father Called me, and told me where I was broke down, and He sent God the Son, The Lord Jesus to come and tow my vehicle off to the side where it was safe. a special lane that is straight and narrow, and the He had God the Holy Spirit fill me with the fuel I needed to proceed. It cleaned my engine and my body up real nice, and it gave me power I never had before. So when that straight and narrow got steep I could go steady in Him, while the others cars on the fastlane (wide and quick) were slippin and sliding, and actually goin backwayrd instead of forwards.
Yep, I love where I am now, Got a ways to go yet, but the policy is better, and the destination is assured.
all 4 now B

I don't miss the fast lane of life at all, and quite content with my slow, easy, and wonderful life. I have heard people say if they had the chance to be 18 again they would. Not this grandma.

I didn't like it when I was in. It's so tiring.
When I was 38 I told myself that I must learn to relax and stop being on the move when I reached 55. I did !
It's not easy to slow down I had to do it step by step but it's shocking me when I found I couldn't stop where I wanted to.
It shocked my son too.
I sent him overseas since he was only 13 years old, I visited him more than him going home. During school holidays we met somewhere and have vacation and good times not at home neither where he studied; or many times he went to visit his friends from another country .
After post graduate, he went back home and stay at home and work here . After a while he realized that I was a different person than what he used to know me.
He felt very worried and uneasy.
He was very disappointed as he realized that his mother was not the one on the go anymore, yet he needs the support badly.
Takes time to really stop and now it's too slow for me.
I dont like it. I take life too easy, very close to apathetic. Amazing how brain and soul works, its not mechanical process.
I am still trying to drive myself back to the fast lane again.
to be where I wanted to stop.
Amazing. I was tired in the fast lane , I am tired too in the a real slow ones.
Thanks for your question.

I lived in the very, very fast lane for a good third of my life. I gave it up because it was time. I do miss it sometimes but am not sure but what it is really just my youth I'm missing. On a whole, I'm very content with my more laid back, relaxed life style.

Oh my! I have to keep getting bounced from slow and easy to fast and faster!!
No complaints though!! When I have to jump inot the fast lane, of life, it is usually because my daughter is in the hospital again and that keeps me running! We live in a semi-rural area and it takes almost an hour just to get to the hospital! So, it gets very hectic at times.
Also, I do special orders for newborn dolls. When I have a deadline, I tend to get into that fast lane in a hurry! Thank goodness, I do not have a lot of those! I do work on an inventory of dolls and doll clothing for the Fall season. I take my time until Fall gets here and then, I am either oil painting or, sewing!
Hey! GRANNY~!!!!! You were sewing doll clothes earlier!! Have you guys seen her dolls??? WOW! Okay, Granny, if you get tired of sewing for your dollies, I need several more dolly clothes for my dolly boutique! Want to jump into the fast lane with doll clothes? LOL!
So, you see, I like the slower pace best but, I cannot stay there too long as I like the fastlane as well!
Geesh, didn't the Eagles do a song about "Life in the Fastlane?" Yep, they did!

I seem to be stuck in the HOV lane in life...very fast, very hectic. I have no idea what the right hand lane would be like, but I suspect I would be very bored driving the speed limit. Just me, as I have been, and probably always will be. I am the pirate, the daredevil, the guy who has to live it to the edge. I cannot remember a time when I was not like this.

I literally burned the pavement in the proverbial fast lane and now it is too bumpy.
I am now stretching the limit in the other lanes. It’s not exactly slow, but something different.

As far as the competition at work and all the office politics, absolutely NOT I hated that!
I remain very busy but doing what I enjoy doing these days.
It is a different road these days, like the difference between big city life and country life.
