My favorite sports book is at the LV Hilton - It's the best by a wide margin.

If you're into cars check out the Auto Colletction at the Imperial Palace, they have over 250 cars and you can see the collection for free with a coupon from "What's On" magazine

There are exotic car dealerships at both the Wynn & in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.

Personally, my favorite buffets are the ones at Luxor, Mandalay Bay and MGM Grand. I strongly suggest avoiding the ones at the Sahara and Excalibur. My husband and I generally only eat two meals per day while we're in Vegas - a buffet breakfast mid morning and then dinner either at another buffet or at a restaurant. If we get hungry in between then we munch on snacks that we bring with us or purchase at WalMart or Target in Vegas. We also buy some sodas at the store because the vending machines in the hotel are quite expensive.

As for things to see - check out the free things like the volcano in front of the Mirage, the pirate show at Treasure Island, the fountains at the Bellagio and the lions at the MGM Grand. If you're renting a car, Red Rock Canyon and the Valley of Fire are great half day trips and won't cost you much of anything. Just bring some bottles of water with you and make sure you've got a full tank of gas. A day on Fremont Street seeing the old casinos is also fun.

If you're on a budget, the first place I'd look is the tix4tonight outlet (there are three of them on the strip; one near Planet Hollywood, one in the fashion show mall, and another near the Sahara); check out your options. If you see something you like, it is cheaper than buying tickets elsewhere. I'd try to work in Lance Burton and Blue Man Group, but that's personal taste. If you want to economize, pick two low cost shows and one good one for your stay.

For buffets, if you want cheap try the Sahara or Palace Station, if you want value, go to the Orleans or Gold Coast.

As far as bars go, if you just want to drink, try pretending your are playing at a slot machine. Otherwise it's going to depend on what you like. Some are crowded, some are noisy, and some have lounge acts.

For what to see, it again depends on taste but the show outside T.I. is OK, and Fremont is usually good and free. I'm not thrilled by the Masquarade in the Sky at the Rio, but lots of people love it. There are also free shows in the Caesar Forum shops, and some circus type acts at Circus Circus. You can also watch the gondolas at the Venetian.

The imperial palace has a car show there, I haven't been to it, but have heard good things about it.

One poster stated that the Luxor Buffett is good. I agree, have eaten there a few times and have been very pleased.

The Rio has the best Sea Food Buffett, quite expensive but well worth it. Plus you can take in the parade in the sky while you're there. The is a Mexican Rest. There too that is really good. We go back there every time we are in Vegas.

Not much of a sports buff so I can't help you in that department

Have fun, I'll be there in October...leave some money in the machines for me...
