You are in my mind, right now, personally, inside my head. I'm a writer, going through the exact same thing right now. Understand I don't think you sound conceited, although some will, b/c I feel the exact same way. We're both good, and we know it. That's a start. I think I may have solved my problem, for now, b/c it tends to come back -- I bought a new printer. The one I had wasn't compatible with my new laptop (stupid Vista!!!), and I couldn't see my ideas on paper, so I ignored them. BIG MISTAKE!!! I hate to say this to people, I don't really see how it works, but whatever type of artist you are, just DO IT. Every every every day. I stopped for a while, and it scared me. Artists are different, not better, just different. We NEED to create, and are not happy when we don't. Some people will say that losing your inspiration means you're ready to join what they call the real world. Never let that get inside your head, never. It might be in mine a little much right now myself. Thank you for this question, and hang in there -- the world in general will not be eager to help you. Good luck!!!

This sounds like a classic case of Artist's Block, which aflicts so many artists out there. It used to be a very bothersome thing to me as well until I figured out what was causing it. I've talked to so many artists out there and have found it is the same for them as well. It turned out to be low self-esteem and lack of self-confidence. These two things suck the life out of creative endevours and will kill your inner artist.
But if this isn't really your problem, then I would suggest walking out in nature, listening to some of your favorite music, look at favorite artists' work, etc.
Another thing to think about - perhaps what used to inspire you no longer does and you need to discover a new inspiration or muse. We humans are always learning and changing, so our inspirations will continue to change as well. Perhaps learning about a new form of art will help you discover a new inspiration and a new genre. Maybe broadening your horizons will shed light on a whole new art form for you.
Be open to change, be confident in yourself as a person, and try some new things. You never know what can happen! :)
Take care! Good luck. :)

Got this from some link:
It’s a devastating thing for an artist to feel they’ve lost their inspiration, to encounter a creative block. But suffering from artist’s block doesn’t mean you’ve lost your artistic ability and it can be overcome.
Tip 1:
It's the fear of not being able to do it that is making you feel you've lost your inspiration. To get rid of the fear, you must approach your painting as if it were a job and DO IT.
Tip 2:
Force yourself to set a goal of ‘X’ number of paintings. Copy if you must, use kitchen tools as models if you must, but simply getting into the paint itself will begin to inspire you, even if you don't like the subject matter.

The first thing that comes to mind is travel.
Some how, some way, if you can get yourself to a place that is completely new to you, that might help.
The place that surprised me the most was the Badlands in South Dakota. It was so much different than anything I've ever seen before. My whole brain went quiet for a while just soaking in the new experience.
Naturally, there are places closer to home that can surprise us as well.
In bodybuilding, Ahhhhnold says that the muscles need to be shocked in order to grow. In a way, I think it's the same with artistic inspiration. We need a little shocking somehow.

stop trying to get it back. The more you try to force it, the harder it will be. Back away, take an interest in something else and then you will find your inspiration returning.
