Jealousy includes alot of things that make it ugly,like anger,revenge,backstabbing, it motivates bad behavior. Envy is just when you wish you had something someone else has,but you leave it that,and there are no bad feelings that go with it. They are 2 very different meanings.

Envy is common...we can envy someone's situation while still liking them as people. Jealousy on the other hand is more toxic. People who are jealous of others tend to dislike them because they can't have or be in the situation that person is in..

easy...jealousy is more childish and greedy while envy is more mature and a much more classy way of being jealous--i don't know if i helped you but i believe this to be the correct interpetation of the two terms
