Why do I read so many comments by Americans saying people like China better because it minds it's own business

Have you been living in a cave? China hasn't invaded any other countries? Don't force their politics on anyone??? Where do you get your information, Xinhua (the Chinese state edited newspaper)?

Besides they've occupied Tibet and East Turkistan for 50 years or so, there's also pieces of Mongolia, Korea, and India that they're occupying.
But those are more political and the UN doesn't care about them. But, China did invade India in 1962, Russia in 1967, Vietnam after the Vietnam war was over.... They tried to impose their style of government all over in South East Asia (You seem to be forgetting that that's one of the reason's the US navy is there in the first place.) Only one country in South Asia has asked the US to leave (the Philippenes) and they were shortly there after attacked by China in a territory dispute. Needless to say, the Philippenes lost.
More recent political interference involves demanding Zimbabwe not elect opposition leader Sata or they would pull

....China would pull all investment from the country. They have repeatedly threatened to bomb Taiwan and threaten any country that recognizes Taiwan. They routinely use their UN vetoed to keep peacekeepers out of Haiti because the recognized Taiwan. They try to interfere with any election of a country that recognizes Taiwan and threatens any country that gives the Taiwan President a visa.....

They're one of the countries that boycotted the South Korean Olympics and in fact supported the country that bombed a South Korean plane leading up to those Olympics.
For years they have been supplying Pakistan with nuclear technology to keep it up to speed with India.

Not to mention they flood the world market with fake luxury goods, poisonous food, and artificially weak RMB. Oh, and routinely block the World Health Organization from investigating disease outbreaks and wouldn't even allow the WHO to visit Taiwan during SARS after covering it up for months. Doesn't mess with other countries my ***! Why do so many people assume that America has all these evils but China has a clean slate? It's ridiculous.

It's true. China certainly plays power politics, like all the great players. And some of its dealings are ugly. It certainly does not do to say that China is so much better than the U.S.; it has a black list of its own. But because we don't focus on it as much, and because it's so far away geographically, these things tend to fly under the radar. And China is certainly creating blocks of influence in the world that remind one of the former Soviet Union and part of the reason for many of the U.S.'s actions has been increase competition from China.
That shouldn't absolve us from all responsibilities for our own actions, however. I think there is a generally naive view of geopolitics among much of the U.S. population, where geopolitics is about a battle of ideals - while much of it is a scramble over resources.

China is a horrible country. They have been in violation of human rights for years and years. Now we have greedy executives that are sending American jobs over there. Not even caring the sacrifice that is made here or what Chinese labor entails. Most of it is slave labor. They are a horribly disgusting country. Its the innocent that suffer the most.
