I face both; for the first half of my shower I'll face the spigot to wash my face and stuff and then the second part I wash my hair and face away from it.

I face away from the spigot becasue I hate getting water in my face. I feel like I'm getting splashed and I don't like it. But I do wash my face, but not when I take my shower, it's usually afterwards.

Away from the spigot. It is the only way to get a good lather of soap on the arms and chest. Plus, the water eases tension on my neck and back.

I shower facing away from it unless I`m washing my hair or rinsing the soap off my face. Sometimes I take a bath first, then rinse all over with the shower. You asked, I answered!
