Hit Sedona on the way back. There is too much to see and do in Vegas to take a 41/2 hour drive to Sedona. In Vegas you should check out a little bit of everything. Some of the awesome restaurants, clubs, pools, see all the casinos, shop at Cesar's, gondolas at Venetian and see a show or two.

The Golden nugget is a great one!!!!

From the 1,907 luxury rooms to the hotel's gold-leaf facade everything is rich with Victorian refinement and sheer elegance. With the first phase of an extensive $100 million renovation and expansion project complete, it is clear that the largest hotel-casino in downtown Las Vegas only gets better with age.

Visitors will arrive in style by driving into the lap of luxury under the hotel's porte-cochere. Once inside, a peek through the glass doors leading to the pool area, reveals the hotel's newest jewel: a 200,000-gallon aquarium that is home to marine creatures from around the world including several shark species, southern stingrays and a variety of large game fish. The three-story pool complex, called The Tank, is complete with private cabanas, a jacuzzi, the Dive Bar, waterfalls and an enclosed waterslide that passes through the aquarium.

Dining at the Golden Nugget is some of the most celebrated in town including the gourmet delicacies of Vic & Anthony's and a Buffet that draws people by the thousands. Lillie's Noodle House offers Pan-Asian cuisine in a contemporary, yet comfortable atmosphere while Grotto Ristorante boasts the feel of an Italian trattoria with its Fellini-inspired murals and regional wine list. Both The Buffet and Grotto offer views of The Tank's colorful reef habitat.

The 36,000-square-foot casino floor is newly remodeled and accommodates every kind of gambler, from the neophyte to the seasoned high roller. For those with no limits, there is a high limit slot salon offering VIP services including a lavish lounge and a private cashier. The semi-enclosed poker room, featured on film and in a number of television series, such as FSN's "Poker Superstars III," is accented by warm, wood features and has 10 smoke-free tables, plush seating and buy-ins to daily Texas Hold 'Em tournaments.

It really depends on what you are going for. I fyou are going for partying and people watching I would stay at the Flamingo or Mirage they are both center strip and equal distance to everything. If you are a big spender follow everyone elses advice and stay at the Bellagio or mandalay bay but at $400+ a night if you are never in your room its not worth it. Personally I like the MGM, I am a big pool person and want the best pool atmosphere, plus it is right acrossed the street form NY NY which has the ESPN Zone to catch a gaem, party in Studio 54 and the best Sportsbook in Vegas (my opinion) It also corners Hooters.

Depends what you are looking for. In my mind there are five that I think you can't go wrong with. The Venetian and Bellagio are probably the two most luxurious hotels on the strip. They are very opulent and good places to stay. The Palms and Hard Rock cater to a younger crowd looking for the trendy place. And the New York New York is just plain fun in my book.

I've stayed in the Excalabur, Luxor, Fitzgerald's, Circus Circus, Star Dust.

They all have their charm and short commings. My favorite is the Luxor, the price is mid range and lots of things close by.

The Excalabur is nice to, a bit older but clean. I'm in the rooms so little I just care if it's clean

Have fun

HIGHLY depends on your budget. The most high end hotels on the strip are Bellagio, Venetian, Wynn, and Caesars.

for midrange: MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, TI, Mirage, etc

Hi there, Lucky you.....going to Vegas. Well I enjoyed Excalibur. I really think the whole atmosphere is awesome, and the jousting in the arena below, just too cool. There are other really good draws, too. I guess it just depends on your personal tastes. Whatever your choice have a great time, and good luck!

Personally, I prefer the Bellagio. It's right in the middle of the strip and close to everthing... plus... that water show is great.
