Because if it was easy, it would be easier to defraud the government and steal the money. It's hard because there is documentation required to confrim that the needy family TRUELY is needy.

If a family needs the money, I don't understand why they don't mind doing some paperwork, after all the rest of us have to WORK to get our money.

The President has nothing to do with loans. The Congress, State, and your local Governement controls the budgeting and legislation on how that money is given out.

There is no such thing as a "FREE government grant".

Somebody Else's taxes pay for any "Freebie" the government chooses to give out.

Grants, including student aid grants, are disbursed by non-partisan bureaucracies. No President, Democrat or Republican, has much of anything to do with them.

Grants shouldn't be easy to get. You shouldn't get be able to get grants to pay bills, repair a car, or live daily life. If it worked like that, no one would go to work at all-- we'd all just line up for our free handout. A handout which couldn't exist if no one worked.

I don't think MrBush has much to do with it. Maybe you should ask YOUR congressman/woman why you can't have a grant.
