Ham, without a doubt. That bologna crap ain't nothing but a**holes, armpits, ears, guts, and feet....all ground up into one perfect little circle with some red tape around it, holding it all together. Yuck!! Have you ever smelled that mess? Ugh.

I made a fake "ham" salad-- you do need a food chopper or a food processor-- BTW-- thin coating of butter/margirine on the bread keeps the bread from getting soggy---- fake "ham" salad-- Hunk of bologna-- not slices-- the solid round kind--not the expensive type Process or grind bologna add sweet pickle relish, chopped fine onion mayo or Miracle Whip seasonings-- salt and pepper- garlic powder taste and adjust I've also chopped hard cooked egg and put it in. Watch how much you make-- haven't tried to freeze it, but don't think it would work very well. Pimento cheese spread shredded cheese of your choice--My father liked cheddar and jack-- If you have a food grinder it works well-- use some old bread to push most of the cheese thru the grinder- processed or fine chopped pimento (from a can/jar)the remainder will keep in the frig for a couple of weeks. fine chopped onion Mayo or Miracle Whip to spread easily salt and pepper to taste maybe some garlic powder -- or you can buy this in containers in the deli section of the grocery. REMEMBER MAYO DOESN'T DO WELL IF IT'S HOT AT WORK...or no frig--- Miracle Whip was developed to stand warmer temperatures without getting you sick. By now you have the drift of spreads for sandwiches-- you can get a good egg salad using the same general ingredients and hard cooking eggs and chopping them up-- then proceed as usual--- A biscuit cutter or a both lids removed tuna can chops eggs quite well-- I've had my can for .....40 years? Tuna salad sandwich-- same as before-- drain the tuna and mix with the chopped eggs, onion, pickle relish, seasonings-- frozen green peas go very well also with tuna-- yep-- raw frozen green peas..they help the tuna stay colder, too-- If there is limited space in the frig at work-- putting the filling in a recycled container (cake icing container)-- then it can be refrigerated and put on the sandwich right before eating. I like the different breads, too-- I love dried tomato bread-- with any of these spreads. happy sandwich!
