Just like log x means "log base ten of x" (when there is no base specified, the base is understood to be 10),
ln x means "log base e of x", also called a natural log.

What your equation is basically saying is 3.6875 is the exponent on e that gives you the answer, x.
So, get your calculator and put in e^3.6875 and that will give you the answer, x.

e^3.6875 = x = 39.94

Same with logs of any base.
for example, log base 10:
log x = y; 10^y = x
