If a child is caught steeling and the shop presses charges. What can you do?

If it's a kid than it won't be to serious they will properly get a warning or community serves.

Usually, you consult an attorney and arrange a plea bargain. If the kid was caught, the kid won't win the case. However, there is often room to negotiate a plea. Occasionally, the attorney can negotiate an agreement between the child and store owner, in which the store owner will drop the charges (this is RARE) in exchange for something from the kid.

If the child is a minor it will go to juvenile court. GET AN ATTORNEY .. they may be willing to give the child probation, or a deferred sentence and seal the records..
