Depending on your rate of speed, anywhere from 9-12 hours. I would recommend stopping in barstow at the train staion McDonalds, it's neat. It's a long drive and part of the road is dangerous, so make sure you have plenty of rest. If you are staying with family then ignore this next tip. If you want cheap hotel rooms try staying in Primm Valley, they are located about 40 minutes away from the strip but will cost you less then half of what you will pay to be on the STRIP in Vegas. Maybe even less. So if your going to be coming in during the night or something like that then that's your best bet, at least to save on your first night.

Probably 12 to 14 hrs. You could cut thru the Sierra Nevadas to Reno and then a straight shot down I-99 to Vegas.
