And then what?

Is that the best answer?

Might you sell it yourselves and invest what ever captial remains until you can afford to own again?

Do you have the income to keep the house in the long run?

Have you tried to refinance?

Rent out a room?

No bank wants to repo a house. They are in the loan business, not the real estate business. They will work with you in almost anyway they can so you can keep your house.

If you have the income to keep up payments, they may be willing to refinance that payment back into the mortgage, lengthing the loan by a few months, but bringing you current.

Will the universe just cut you a check? I don't know. Will the universe provide a solution, yes. Be open to what form it might take.

P.S. to everyone out there. I don't know if this is what happened in this case, but Adjustable rate mortgages and interest only loans are only for people who know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they will only be in their homes for 5 years or less. Other than that get a fixed rate. The standards are actually very lax, so if a person doesn't qualify, they are better off renting and trying later again.

It is good to have faith in God. Specific prayer requests are great because you can see the blessing if it is received and praise Him for it.

However, I think the best question to ask yourself right now is, "If God does not give me $1400 and I do lose my house, will I still believe that He is God and He is faithful to the end?" We must make sure that God does not become a crutch when we need, and when we are through needing, we can put the crutch down.

Job said it best. "God gives, and God takes away." If God believes you are holding something high in your heart and it is competing with your relationship with Him, then He has every reason to take that thing away. We have no right to test God. We do have a right to challenge His preexisting decisions; we saw Abraham plead with God over Sodom and Gamorrah.

If we are faithful to Him and remain in Him, He will give us all the desires of our hearts and supply everything we need. God does not promise wealth but He promises spiritual prosperity. He does not promise health but He promises eternal spiritual healing.

I hope this helps.

Yes, I do have Faith in God however, I have faith everyday and that supplies me with what I need. Sometimes, I don't get what I want but I always get what I need. In this world you have to pave your own road and understand there are no hand-outs unless you get help from outside services.

I would never discourage someone from faith. In my life I know I have to make an honest effort to get things and pay for things or.. work them out. I pray to Saint Jude a lot and for sick people to get better. If I need money..I pray for better job opportunities or advancement. I do not pray that I will win the lottery because it doesn't work, I do not pray for money to fall out of the sky because it's usually sun shining out, and I certainly don't pray for things to land in my lap because it doesn't work. Unless I had a rich daddy.

So ya, I have faith but I am realistic too. I hope you get your money so you don't lose your house, I will pray for you.

God gives me faith to believe that He will do what He tells me in my heart. If He doesn't give me faith for something, then I can't just make up what I want to happen and believe that it will. When you pray, and you know Him, you can feel it in the prayer if He is hearing it or just a blah. If He hears it, He will do it. If He has given you the faith to believe the money is on the way, then it is. If you're just trying to believe, then you better go to Plan B.

That reminds me...My mom's oven broke one time and they didn't have to money to buy a new one. So, she decided to believe God for one. God dealt with her to sow a seed and that was to make scones for some people that we knew. We only had a Big George oven. lol She was up all night making them. Something like 2 days later, she got a check in the mail for a couple thousand dollars from people we didn't even know.

3 John 2: Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.

Then Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

~He can and He will.
