Air beds are a no go. While not only are they bad luck for your back, but there's always a risk of getting it popped. (Waking up on a deflated "air" bed isn't my known way for fun)

I suggest nice full sized bed that doubles as a couch. It's a mattress in 90 degree form as a couch and flat as a bed. Conventent, nice, and more comfortable than any air mattress.

I have bought them for guests and I have slept on them and have seen many models. None have been comfortable or practical. If you need extra sleeping space get a thin mattress or a twin mattress or bunk bed mattress. Anything but an air mattress. If you are talking about the numbers bed which is very expensive...not the same thing. I hear it is great, never slept on one myself. I hope this helped. Air Mattresses are terrible. They stink!!!

We have a raised Aerobed.. It's a full size and it's wonderful. It folds down to about the size of a sleeping bag and has a handy drawstring bag it fits inside.. We've used it numerous times for family and other guests. I slept on it while I was pregnant very, very comfortable...! It cost just under $300 but, worth it.. It takes regular full/queen size sheets and has a firmness adjuster as well as a plug in pump and it deflates very quickly.. We love ours.. You can get them at BED BATH & BEYOND *don't forget the 20% off coupons....!!!
