I want an liberal independent willing to take risks and who actually cares for the people. But I haven't seen this canidate step up. The democrats are on the verge of stagnation, that of which has befallen the republican party. The canidates should focus on doing good, not on getting elected. But they're becoming too complacent.

There are basically 1-2 decent candidates on either side (and, no, this does not include Hillary, Edwards, or Obama on the Dems). I really haven't heard anything from Thompson, so I'll withhold judgment.

When they started in '95 I thought it wouldn't be a long cycle, as it appears as of today.

I feel there is no politician knows how I feel or either what he feels. They each have their fingers in the air for direction to follow, but why?

Just listen to what the people say!

No, the DEMOCRATIC ticket is a joke. A bunch of pandering, criminal, dishonest, career-politicians with a lifetime of deception on their resumes. Except Obama. He hasn't been around long enough, but is BY FAR the best candidate the Dem's have to offer.

In my humble opinion, the best each party has to offer can be found at the BOTTOM of their collective tickets.

I would say the primary qualification at this point in the game is campaign funds.

Assuming one has a malleable personality/image, he/she with the deepest pockets wins.

Dennis Kucinich is the ONLY seincere candidate who isn't politics-as-usual.

(And, by the way, anyone mentioning Fred Thompson isn't doing their research.)
