Well, I'm not an anti feminist, but I define a feminist as a person who wants equality for everyone and doesn't believe in one group of people having more rights or powers than another group of people that is equally capable of doing what the other group can.
There are some bitter man hating women who call themselves feminists, but in reality, they are no feminists at all. It angers women when a man says that women should only be in the kitchen or cooking and cleaning ... it angers men in the same way when we hear a woman (who claims to be a feminist) say that all men are pigs, all women married to men are slaves and that men's mission in life is to degrade all women. Since men are only human like women, naturally if a man hears a woman (who claims to be a feminist) hating on men, he will assume that most feminists do the same thing, so the guy would probably not want to hear about it anymore and not even bother trying to looking into feminism anymore since naturally he assumes other feminists are the same, but if he did look into it he would realize that those man hating women are not feminists at all.
I know that's sort of complicated lol, hopefully you understand what I mean.

The definition of a feminist is that given by feminists.
Though I admit that feminism has helped women voices to be heard and had many positive successes, I will not believe they will be able to bring about the utopia the founding mothers of feminism promised. We are just puny, frail and imperfect humans.

feminist is someone who puts the feminine to be better than the masculine and spreads misandry and lies to reach a political goal placing women in charge and in a place of privilege above men. Otherwise they would be called equalist or non genderists, or anti-feminists. And yes I am a die hard gung ho dyed in the wool card carrying anti-feminist. If I did not want equality but to have men be superior then I would be a masculist or some such that identifies which gender I wish to come out above the other. I claim anti-feminist because I have seen much evidence that feminist seek to dominate men not be equal and I am very much against that.

___Essentialist feminists, the ones willing to talk about differences between men and women, usually claim that women tend to be less prone toward hierarchical thinking and the use of bi-polar oppositions. Feminists who deny any intrinsic differences between the sexes are, in the very denial, examples of the essentialists' notions about the ways women tend to think.
___Both groups seem to agree that hierarchical thinking and bi-polar opposition are bad. Yet any scheme of values is intrinsically and necessarily hierarchical.
___Perhaps the most central doctrinal cluster of feminism, from what I've seen, is the implicit doctrine (never acknowledged) of exploited solipsism. Since the world is merely a social construct, and all truth is subjective, the only point of discourse is to win, regardless of those annoying patriarchal notions called "facts". There is no objective truth to be pursued. Truth (prior to postmodernism and feminism's redefining it as something personal) is just an oppressive construct of dead white men, constructed just for the purpose of oppressing women.
___Whoever controls the discourse gets to decide the criteria, the methods, and the presuppositions of human value, and of course women's notions of value are better than men's, anyway. Emotions are reliable indicators of truth, and if a woman has the feeling of oppression, then it is the truth that she is oppressed. But this doesn't apply to men's feelings. Men's feelings, unless they agree with women's feellings, are not reliable indicators of the truth.
___Feminism is about equality, but equality according to feminism's own definitions, methods, criteria, and presuppositions. The same for justice, truth, etc.
___Feminism is in many ways a doctrine that adopts methods that resemble sypmtoms of several disorders in the DSM-IV, in order to define the world, humanity, and value in feminism's image, while never having to say it's sorry for the unintended conseqences or collateral damage, or to admit that there are any.

Not an anti-feminist. I hope you don't mind if I answer anyway?
Feminism is a simple concept: treat men and women absolutely equally under any and all circumstances, with no exceptions (socially, politically, socially).
This is not my definition; it is Webster's:
"the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes."
Thus, a true feminist believes that a woman must not ever be treated differently than a man based on her sex - or vice-versa.
If a woman believes that she or other women should never be treated differently than a man, she is a feminist.
However, if there is a particular circumstance where she feels that a woman should be treated differently than a man (per the definition) she is not a feminist.

To me, a feminist is a hypocrite who demands 'equality' while at the same time demanding special treatment for women.
This is exemplified in areas dealing with affirmative action, paternity fraud, false charges of rape and abuse, sexual harassment, selective service, the so-called "wage gap", abortion and all other reproductive actions and effects as well as other areas.

Women define themselves. I've accepted their self-definitions.
Clearly it is easy to say that feminism is defined as complete equality between the sexes.
Who could argue that?
The reality is, that I have never met a women who believes in equality as I define it. Might be that I have a screwed up understanding of what equality means - might be that they do. But saying that you believe in equality while embracing self-promoting double standards does not engender support.
I've no problem with the idea of feminism, just the application as it is commonly defined.

Since feminists could never come up with one intelligent definition, I will...
Feminism in the USA is an estrogen-induced syndrome characterized by extensive whining, self-pitying, blaming all past and present injustices on men, glorifying prostitution, divorce, and half-as..sed motherhood.
Feminism in countries where women are TRULY oppressed is a belief in equality between genders.

I am not anti-feminist because I fully understand what it means and am of the age group that helped to pave the way for younger women.
I am outraged by women who say "oh, I'm not a feminist". Oh? What are you then? A door mat?
A feminist is someone who believes in fair and equal treatment in the workplace, in public and at home. This is a woman that wants equal pay for doing the same job (men make approx. $10K more than women per year just because they are men).
Also, it is more than about time the Equal Rights Amendment is passed in this country. We are so far behind the rest of the world. Even developing countries have or have had, women prime ministers and leaders.
When are women in this country going to understand just how lousy they are treated and say ENOUGH?
