Bush probably won't end the war until all of Iraq's civilians have been murdered in the civil war that HE is responsible for. But since his term is more likely to end first, it looks like we're in for it for 17 months.
UNLESS we can get both him and his master, Cheney, impeached, first, for their war crimes.

Why dont you accursed tree huggin libbies give it a chance and stop with the perpetual defeatist - holier than thou attitude? Lets see...
1) stabilization throughout out many previous zones where insurgents attacked frequently
2) Iraqs soldiers are starting to take over many regions exclusively
3) Muqtada al Sadr has called for a 6 month hiatus
4) Bush today proposed draw down and some soldiers can come home.
How much longer will you close you eyes and ignore the reality many libtards have already accepted? That the surge is working.

I was against sending the troops in the first place... now, I feel we have an obligation to try to correct our mistakes in the region, but the way Bush is running things, a total troop withdrawal would help more than it would hurt. What we really need is a government which really sees our role in this conflict as a peacekeeping one, not as a war. But what are the chances of that happening anytime soon?
We want to see ourselves as the saviors of this poor, democracy-starved people... but the ones who really need to be thanked are the neighboring countries in the region which are taking in Iraqi refugees by the millions.

No, you're wrong. I know the left's policy of sticking one's head in the sand and hopeing the bad guys go away is a popular choice. But you see, Bush has this crazy idea to finish what we started and actually fight the terrorists that want to kill us, rather than give them nuclear reactors and hope beyond hope things will be okay.

That is a fast and loose way of putting that matter. Remember it is what you believe not what is actually happening that really counts.....oh, did I wake up in 1984?
