My friend and I are making a sort of vampire thriller. Since I'm writing the script I have a lot of control over what all happens. So, I was just wondering what some people like to see in vampire movies or just like about the vampire mythology in general. I'm not saying I'll use everything (where's the fun in that) but I'd like to hear new things. Also, anything you think I should definitely avoid could be helpful too. It's not an action movie by any means so please keep that in mind. Also, since neither of us are professional actors or stunt people there won't be car chases or crashing through glass. Be reasonable. ^_^ The most intelligent, thoughtful answer gets 10 points.

I like Anne Rice's vampires. They are different because the old stake through the heart thing and everything is just a myth to them. They can't be killed that way. They are mostly just people who died who have to drink blood to survive. Of course, her vampires had special powers like the ability to fly and of course they were strong and beautiful. I hate it when movies portray the vampire as some ugly blood sucking creature that you must kill. I think they should be beautiful and attractive and feel remorse. If you are not familiar with Anne Rice go pick up one of her novels or watch, " Interview With the Vampire."

well, first of all, calling it a vampire movie just limits a lot of things--they can't see themselves in the mirror, they can shape shift, they sleep in coffins during the day, they dissolve in sunlight, they drink blood, they can turn others in to vampires by drinking their blood...
So... you should do something to blow all of those preconvieved notions
