If she acts like a woman and is above the age of 18. If she has manners and is polite, and nice. If she is a pretty girl and yet does not act it. You know by being all about her looks and always trying to get attention from guys and other people. When she does not do all the crap that girls do in high school. Like flirt just to be a flirt and turn guys on or lead them on. When she can sit and keep a good conversation and not ever other things she says is about her or completely off the topic at hand. Then she is a woman, and she is acting like one. Otherwise she is a girl. I know a lot of girls in their late 20's and early 30's that are still girls and not women at all, except in the physical since of the word. I also have seen girls 16, 17 that are women in the true since of the word. They act mature and are nice and funny and have manners. That is who I classify a woman. I added the 18 or older just because most girls younger do not act like women but like little girls. In reality I think most girls become women around the age of 25 as a rule. It is all in how they act and carry themselves, that is what makes a girl a woman, to me. =)

It's funny. Many people, including women, will classify a female as a girl until she's at least 50, but if you classify any male over the age of 18 as a boy, get ready to have your throat cut.

Probably when they stop screwing with that BIG head that sits on his shoulders.

And I agree...most men aren't really men till sometime after 50...with any luck. *S* I shouldn't say "really men" but mature perhaps. (By the time some come around to appreciating what they've had they've likely lost it.) Did you know the highest divorce ratings are women over 50? They never see it coming either.

And sorry, you can dispute that all you want but I'm sure you will find many (who have lived long enough) in agreement.

That question is difficult to answer. Because everyone on this earth matures at a different rate. I know women who are in there mid thirties who act like they are in there early teens. Then there are there teenagers who act like they are in there thirties. One important thing every young person should know is to enjoy there childhood and adolescence while they still can. Because you can never go back to that great time in your life.

Age has little to do with it. When a girl becomes emotionally secure in herself as well as emotional maturity with those around her then she has become a Woman.

When she uses her womanhood (Woman with Wisdom) to support others around her in their need she becomes a Lady.

Its the same for men as well. Boy to man to Gentleman.

Security means to overcome personal fears. Maturity is gaining self wisdom and using it to overcome selfishness, jealousy and childish actons.

...regardless of biology,but IT SHOULD.
Learning before it happens to assume it.

When she is capable of caring for another, and stop being self-centered on being taken care by another and expect at the same time to be respected...as an adult!
And then "wonder why" men are easily confused about Women standing.

It is not what men may expect from her,but what she expects of herself. That is then an assuming Woman.
Not expecting from others is as well for Men,not boys.

When I'm trying to be nice or cute I use girl. For example. "Hey girl! What are you doing tonight." When I'm serious or angry I use woman. "Listen here woman!" :)
LOL I think it has to do with women and wanting to be polite by referring to them as young regardless as there age. It is the same reason men never ask a lady her age. Women want to be referred to looked at as young and a girl is a young woman.

.from my experience with my step daughter its around 17, when they have a little maturity and life experience. Obviously this doesnt always mean this age as all girls/women are different

When she has class. When she is not comfortable in her own skin; uncomfortable with her beauty. When she admits her faults. When she has regard for human frailty. When passing fads and meaningless sex mean nothing to her. When all she wants is the love of a good man.
