My first CD was Dark Side of the Moon. I bought it out on a shopping trip to the Target in Mobile for fourteen dollars. It was probably the best buy I've ever made, just because it got me sucked in to the whole thing :D That was back when I was twelve.
The reason I bought it was because my parent's Dark Side CD skipped constantly. Brain Damage was my favorite song, but for some reason, it kept skipping into a few seconds of Breathe. Don't even ask *why*, but it did, and it irritated the crap out of me!

the first Pink Floyd record I ever heard was my asshole brother in law's copy of Dark Side of the Moon- he was, as I said, an asshole, but that was a cool record (still is!- probably the first Floyd CD I ever bought). The first Pink Floyd record I ever bought was The Wall on vinyl when I was 14.

It was "The Wall" LP , I didn't know any thing about the band, and a friend started talking about some "Pink Floyd" band, the name sounded phony to me , so I bet him that it didn't exist at all...next day we went to the store and there it was, we bought it and brought it home and the rest is history....have been loving Pink Floyd music for the last 25 years

The vinyl lp of Ummagumma
...for ...Careful With That Axe, Eugene
Heard it first on an 8-track and when you think back to the 8-track format it was so unkind to bands like Pink Floyd & Yes.

Wish You Were Here Lp (yep. vinyl....). "Have A Cigar" is probably the best sarcastic song to a record company I have ever heard. Makes me laugh everytime I hear the line
" Oh by the way, which one's pink?"
. I hate record companies but I just keep shelling out the dough.

Relics, on cassette. I bought it because it was the only Pink Floyd album my mom did not have yet. That was over 23 years ago, and I still have it.
