re write as -2y = -2x -5
2y = 2x + 5
y = x + 2 1/2

draw x and y axes x = 0 , y = 2 1/2 x = - 2 /12 and y = 0

You start off with this: 2x-2y+5=0
Subtract 2x: -2y+5=-2x
Subtract 5: -2y=-2x-5
Divide Both Sides By -2: y=x+5/2
Now 5/2 or 2.5 would be your y-intercept and the slope would be 1.

another way to solve:
try to substitute any value for x and solve y for each value of x
after getting the values of x and y plot each one of them....
ex.
if x=0
-2y+5=0
2y=5
y=5/2
(0, 5/2) -->plot

if x = 1
2-2y+5=0
y=7/2
(1,7/2) -->plot

if x=5
2(5)-2y+5=0
y=(15/2)
(5, 15/2)-->plot
