Yep-I did. I missed a few (stomach virus couldn't keep them down) and got pregnant. My SIL got pregnant, and two of my uncles are BC babies-and she didn't miss ANY pills. High fertility seems to run in my family, so that isn't surprising. The failure rate when used correctly ALL the time is less than 1%, but hey, someone has to be in that 1%, right????

Absolutely - I am mom to 4 kids, now ages 28, 25, 22, and 10. Our 10 year old was conceived despite the fact I had been taking birth control pills faithfully for 11 straight years (ever since I stopped breast feeding our 3rd child). I was 38 years old and our older children were 18, 15, and 12 when our little surprise joined our family. I did not miss any pills nor had I been on any medication that would have interfered with the Pill. While the Pill is a very effective means of birth control, abstinence is the only 100% sure way to prevent pregnancy.

yep, you can get pregnant. Birth control pills are only 99.9% guaranteed. So you have a .1% chance of getting pregnant. Even though that doesn't sound like a lot, it is still very possible scientifically speaking. Birth control pills have side effects so always be sure to read them first. Hope that helps =]

Yes. I have 5 children and was taking birth control with 4 of them. I've gotten pregnant on the pill, depo and patch. My family is quite fertile. My sisters have also gotten pregnant taking birth control. Abstinence is the only method to not get pregnant.

Yes, it can! My husband has a 15 yr old daughter who came about while the mom was on the pill and they were using condoms.
The only guarantee in life is abstinence. I am not preaching just stating a fact.

My friend who has taken them for years is now the proud mother of a little son. I suggest using condoms along with the birth control to 100% guarantee no conceptions. Besides, you will protect yourself against STDs while using a condom.

You shouldnt if you take them correctly and religously. I work at a hospital. Most people that get pregnant that are on birth control have skipped pills or doubled up on pills.
