This is by nature the hottest external component on your engine, so yes this is normal.

It is normal. If you have no other problems, then don't touch it.If you do have other problems, then don't touch it. Exhausts carry away the heat created by the combustions that allow our motors to make power, and are always going to carry heat. In the old days, exhaust manifolds were made of cast iron and took a long time to get hot, and probably never got as hot as these steel tubed Toyota's. If the heat does cause a problem, you can wrap them with a thermal header wrap, but you shouldn't have a problem. The short answer is yes.

ABSOLUTELY!!! This is why they put a heat shield over it. The exhaust manifold is the FIRST place the exhaust goes after being exploded in the cylinder. Always use care when working near it if the vehicle's been recently started.

We use to use the exhaust manifolds to heat up cans of rations when I was in the Marines. Yes they get up to around 1000 degrees or better.

Exhaust manifold do get hot because of the hot exhaust gases running through them.

The exhaust gas is hot, a product of internal combustion of oxygen & liquid fuel and a resulting explosion, so yes thats normal. If the engine is overheating then see your dealer.

i think it is is fine as long as it does not turn a cherry red color. if it turns red like that, then you have a prob.
