I just bought a mazda6 2005 and sometimes I put the gear on N and then I push the gas hard untill the metter goes to 7 the maximum!!! so does it mess up the car?????

your right you need help at the mental ward, you can't possibly think red lining is helping your car. do you?

Overrevving is usually limited by the cars onboard rev-limiter but doing this too much can cause massive engine damage namely the timing components get abused such as valve stems, timing cogs or gears, pushrods (if the car is Overhead Valve). Most of these repairs cost well over 400 dollars.
