If you are in a relationship with a person you live, then you are not single anymore. You have a boyfriend.
In legal documents, you are divorcee. You will never be single in those anymore.

Did you and your boyfriend decide to make a commitment of some kind? If your kids do not think you are single then you have some kind of commitment. Are you still looking? Is he? Do you see other people?
I do not think you should say you are single there are many other things you can say, I'm seeing someone, I'm dating, I'm living with someone, you can get it across somehow.

If you are just living with someone who you are NOT romatically involved with, then technically they would be just a roommate and yes you would be single, but if you ARE romatically involved with this person than you are not single, but dating. Just because you don't have a ring doesn't mean that you are single, just not committed yet, hope this helps Have a great day! : )

Do you feel single? I guess it comes down to how you feel. Is this relationship a permanent one for you? Have you asked yourself why you say you are single and not that you have a boyfriend. Does this person you are living with tell eveyone he is single or that he has a girlfriend or partner?

I think it depends on who is asking, and the reason they are asking. For normal use, you aren't single, as in "available", since you are living with someone. But if they want to know are you married or single, then you are single, but unavailable.

If you are in a romantic relationship with the person you are living with, you are not single...single means you are unattached and implies you are available to date. If the other person is simply a roommate and nothing more, and you are not dating anyone seriously, then you are indeed single.

If the divorce is final, you are single. According to taxes, you can only file single or married...not divorced. Your prefix to your name does change a bit from Miss to Mrs. while you were married to Ms. after the divorce. Explain this to your kids. Unless you are married to your new flame, you are still single. Plain and simple.

your in a defacto relationship. not married, but living with someone is defacto. (although i think that word sounds weird)..... but you are definatly not single! if you were single you'd be out on the town looking.....but your not. your at home with a boyfriend. definalty taken! Sounds a bit disrespctful to me. If my parnter classed himself as still single while we were just living together i'd be VERY hurt and offended. you are together, a team, one half of a couple. not a single.
