dont worry. i've gone through it. actually, you're in a better situation than me. i went off to a middle school where i knew no one. but its perfectly fine. although there may be some mean kids, you'll fit in immediately.

What you don't realize is that each one of those new people is feeling pretty much the same thing. But it's true, just as the first-grade teacher has said. Everyone gets nervous because it's something new and you're not sure what to expect.
I'm guessing that by lunchtime you're going to feel much better. You'll still get a few flutters with each new class but by the 2nd day, you're gonna wonder what you were worried about.
So have fun, be open to new experiences and let us know how it went, okay?
Good luck!!

I am a first grade teacher and trust me...on the first day...even the teachers are a bit nervous. I have been a wreck most of the evening. When we don't know how things are going to go, we get nervous. Imagine your teachers being nervous and that should help. Trust me, most teachers are nervous the first day or first week with a new group of students. Just try and enjoy your days and make new friends.

Don't be afraid. I was afraid at first, too. There will be tons of new people to meet and there will always be your old friends. Its not so scary after you get used to it. If someone bullys you tell a teacher right away. Good Luck!

It's not really that much different. I had my first day in middle school last year, and to top that, I skipped a grade. So my first day in middle school was in 7th grade. The only differences are more teachers, and a locker. Worry not.

I started middle school three years ago and its okay to be nervous. Everyone else feels the same way. Just stick with your friends, and here's a tip for anyone: if you sit next to someone, you almost always become friends with them.
